'Twas the Night before Christmas...

On a brisk Christmas Eve the residue of the Florida Grande inmates had a ball. With 1,000 candles diligently set in place around the park entrance, each protected from the wind by a paper bag and safely moored by a pound of sand, they partied in traditional fashion. Between the consumption of a sumptuous pot-luck supper and the subsequent destruction of a table load of decadent desserts, numerous volunteers - well, a few anyway - braved the cold to light every lantern.
